Canadian Study Permits

Regular Study Permit

What it is: A permit allowing international students to study at a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Requirements: Must have a letter of acceptance from a DLI, proof of sufficient funds, and a clean immigration history.

Study Permit Extensions

What it is: Allows students to continue studying if their permit is expiring.
Requirements: Must apply before the current permit expires, remain enrolled in a DLI, and show proof of ongoing studies.

Co-op Work Permit (for Students)

What it is: A permit allowing students to work in a mandatory co-op or internship as part of their program.
Requirements: Must be enrolled in a program where work experience is required and provide a letter from the institution confirming this.

Student Direct Stream (SDS) Study Permit

What it is: A faster processing option for students from specific countries.
Requirements: Must be from an eligible country, provide proof of tuition payment, a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of CAD 10,000, and meet language requirements.
